GSXR stunt issues

2002 gsxr 600
Few questions for GSXR stunters..

With oil pickup do you smell oil after wheelies or have oil in airbox??
Did oil pickup solve all oil problems??
Has anybody blew a motor with a stuntex?

Those with TRE did it smooth out BP wheelies. I've read a little about this but most said dont do it, its a waste of time. On my street GSXr the TRE made 1st and 2nd smooth w/ more low end torque. My stunter has -1F so any help to smooth out 1st, while in a slow wheelie, would be nice.

The front end of the stunter feels sluggish. Tire pressure is good. The previous guy had the steering steam tighted for endos but I put it back to stock. What else can I do to make the bike feel more like my other stock gsxr. Grease Bearings?? I read a post about this a while back but cant seem to find it. I think Lb3 posted something but >>.......

Any problems overheating??

thanks for the help

Re: GSXR stunt issues

the oil in the airbox is coming from the crankcase breather located on the rear of the motor, large diameter tube going into the airbox. Rout this to a vented catch container and seal the hole in the airbox.

no expirience stunting w/without tre.

Replace the head stem bearings, when he overtourqed them the races and bearings distorted.

I don't run a oil pickup and I have never had a problem. And the more you drop that gsxr the worse everything is gonna feel

Re: GSXR stunt issues

easiest way 2 stop it bleeding into airbox put some sponge in the breather tube i had the same problem a good days stunting sucked the sump dry, just change the sponge every couple weeks this still lets your engine breath, and doesnt leak oil into the airbox

it's a 03 600, I over fill it about a half of court, and the oil light only comes on when it's on the bar

Same here, i fill mine til the sight glass is full with the bike stood up straight, prolly 1/2 to 1 quart over! I dont care about oil in the airbox, never had a problem with it!

Take the TRE off, it tricks the bike into thinking its in a higher gear, 4th or 5th, which is a more advanced (timing) map, which will make your throttle more sensitive! Equals twitchier wheelies! I know it makes a big difference in the 1000's, not as pronounced in the 600's, but take it off anyways!

Re: GSXR stunt issues

ok dumb question: fill a quart over means: a quart of a litre, or a quart of whats supposed to go in the engine, or is a quart a size like a pint??

Re: GSXR stunt issues

a quart is the measurement of oil so if your bike takes four quarts then thats four containers of oil....just fill it and axtra half container......that is the worst description...HAHAHHA.

Re: GSXR stunt issues

So all the stories I've heard of guys blowing motors (w/ gixxers) is probably from not overfilling??

I need to just write to suzuki and ask them to make better mounting tabs and oil sump. Think it will work......
