636 fork seals leak?

Has anyone with a 636 had their forkseals leak? I just wanna know if their worth replacing? or if their just gonna blow again? if they are I'll just tie a rag around the bottom.

Is there any secrets to help them not leak? heavy or specific oil? The bike only had 3800 Km on it when I picked it up, and Ive only been wheeling it for about another 3000 KM. I put it down really hard sometimes from a slow 12 but I still think its too early for them to go out.

Re: 636 fork seals leak?

Replace em. You keep going, eventually all the oil will drain out and you can mess up your forks. It's rare that they would go with such low miles or whatever it is but they obviously have gone. I'd fix em sooner than later. Seals are like $12, Only costed me $50 when I took em to the dealership to get changed. Take the forks and everything off the bike, and just take them the forks, less labor hours and they should get it done for you same day you make an appointment.
