left rear peg

Do any of you guys change or replace the left rear peg?? Or do you leave it as stock? I found that mine is goin to brake soon ( im not a skinny person, so my weight has an effect on it) I was thinkin of welding the two parts together.

Re: left rear peg

mine is about to crack also. i have a spare on hand but im waiting for it to break. i think im going to start standing in the trunk. if you make something up dont do it outta steel cause you will break off the bolt holes. i would rather just replace a bracket then deal with welding a subframe again.

the bracket is not broke. the peg itself is goin to endup goin down and brake. Thats why i was thinking of weldin the peg and bracket to form a soild foot rest

Re: left rear peg

yeah, my left rear peg is all bent down and floppy. Im pretty light (150lbs), but my bike is 14 years old, so its showing its age.

One thing to think about if u want to weld a solid bracket is if the pass. peg bracket is going to snap off if u crash (since the peg wont fold).

Is your peg just kinda worn out and hanging down further that it should (like its opening more than 90degrees?)...thats how mine is.

i might get all fancey on mine and mill my own 'mega left rear peg' for stunting. lol
