Changing tire size????

Will it hurt anything changing the tire size from a 180 to a 190 on a 04 GSX-R750? I went to the bike shop to get a new tire and came back and the dude put a 190 on my rear. I was like what the f&ck , he said that it will not hurt anything it is only 10 cm. Now my bike sits higher and is putting a lot of pressure on my hands. I am just asking will the bigger tire mess something up?

No don't worry about it. He put a 190 on there to make a higher profit margin or he was out 180's.

My friend put a 190 on his gixxer 6 and didn't have a problem with it. He said it made his wheelies easier to balance

well if you're into curves or roadracing, the bike will lean better with a 180 but for stunting I don't think it makes a difference, maybe the 190 will be more stable for wheelie I just changed my 190 for a 180 and didn't notice a difference on slow ****.

Re: Changing tire size????

your bike shouldnt sit any higher. if you look at the aspect ratio of the tire, which is the second number in the sizing you will notice 190/50/17 as opposed to a 180/55/17. what the second number means is if you have a tire that is 190mm wide the sidewall height is 50% of the total width. the 190 has a slightly shorter percentage than the 180 so overall height between the two is virtually the same. www.c4stunts.com (mj the tire guy.)
