929 Radiator Mounting

I've pretty much busted all 3 of my main mounts on my radiator-I held it on with zip ties nice and tight for a while but now the fan is grounding out and blowing fan fuses. Should I even bother having the weak-*** tabs rewelded or just tap the fan off to a manual switch and run zip ties? I did a search without much info on everyone's radiator mounting...lets hear 'em.....

First thing I did when I put mt bike together was bend the upper tabs in toward each other. I've seen the way they bend out over time and cause problems like yours. I'd say, if you got a minute, pull it off and have it fixed. Then when you put it back on secure it with zip-ties for a little extra. I used safety wire.

zip ties will work fine, get thick *** ones, loop the right tab to your frame. the second i tie from the radiator fan guard and loop it to the fairing bracket towards the steering stem. dont zip tie it so tight that the fan and wires touch the engine though.

Drill The Other Side That Normally Just Gets Looped. Then You Can Put A Bolt And Nut Through It, Giving You A Bolted Mount On Both Sides.
