Get it up higher. Stay under 30 mph. Cover rear brake. Good luck.

if your speeding up your not balanced...ive been learning by bringing it up higher and higher and playing with the rear brake.

Re: need some advice on starting slow ****

You dont need the bar unless your doin bar tricks, thats what I think. Just try to scrape the tail. I tried learning with the bar and it would just throw me off and I'd crash. I just got a bike again to start on and I''ve just been trying to tap the tail, no bar this time around.

Already did!!!

Don't need no stinking 12 bar (ok, maybe I do, but too late for my tail light!)

Spank it up high nice and slow, gradually getting to the B.P, engine noise dies a little, touch the breaks as if you were balancing the clutch in your dads old Ford F-150. Use as much of your body to control balance (side to side) as possible.
Try this 100 million times and you should be well on your way "young fart", someday you'll stink like the rest of us "old farty Onewheelers".
I slow my stock Yamaha XT600e to about 5-8 mph for few hundred feet.

Re: need some advice on starting slow ****

Just duct tape your tail back together tonight, then go out and keep practicing tomorrow!

But tomorrow, when you hear your tail scrape you are gonna touch the brake a bit harder to bring it down!

Just keep telling yourself that, then working at doing that and let us know how you go!

Re: need some advice on starting slow ****

are you the guy that taco'd your **** up on saturday with the yellow f4? Dont even think about a bar until you have the brake figured out. Putting that thing on the bar on wavy concrete at 25mph is gonna toss ya. You'll prolly do it anyways.. but.. dont get mad if we laugh at ya. We told you so.
