Deciding on what sprokets to... need help
Deciding on what sprokets to... need help
Whats up ..
Ive been ridig for about 4 months and got pretty good..
Pulling wheelies, endos, stoppies, gas tank wheelies.. Nothing crazy.
I am lookin do some sprokets for some more stunting.. I currently own a 2004 Gsxr 1000. Love the bike.. and love the way it handles.
The bike has alot of power comes up on a dime.. I just want it to come up and low rpm so i can do slow stunts...
What kind sprokets do you recommend.. what size teeth?
I know i will need a new chain.
So questions are-
1. What sprokets to get (front and back)
2. What chain to get?
I know my top speed will be like cut in half. but i dont care i just want to get nasty at all sorts of tricks.. I was thinking of like 60 tooth sproket specialites?
I need help .. Thanx guyz

To add to this....
Ideally, he wants to still be able to somewhat go fast, so a 74 tooth is defintly not needed. In terms of chains hes already got his stock one and would be wondering whats needed to like change chains (chain tool, master link, extra links etc)

i have a rk 530 gold chain i think it's a 130 link..comes up no problem if you want to still ride the street i really wouldn't go too much bigger unless you have a company gas card or something

+ 3 in rear - 1 in front. imho you can probably keep your stock chain too. anything more than that will get quite annoying. I just went +8 -1 on my 600rr and i was at 80 mph with 11 grand on the rpms in 6th gear. (speedo said 105) Not too much fun trying to keep up with liter bikes. If you are not riding in a parking lot this is what i recommend. just gives u an extra bit of torque and after a few rides you will be very comfortable. And Def take teach's advice about motoheaven./ u just dont want to go completely on here-say. get some professional advice.

yes, stuntfactory is a good choice. If u get anything from them tell them Twisted mindz sent you :-). Just remember to ask how long things willl take when u order. sometimes they have to cut the sprockets. but he usually has common stuff in stock. I think that u will be really happy with that set-up. it just gets annoying when u are trying to go from a to b on a highway.
