Nags is being mean. You get that somtimes with his religon. LOL

Do you have the idle up cable installed?
The stock idle screw doesn't work that well. You can do some idle up tricks, but gearing and this cable install helps alot. I know there's a bunch of threads about 929/954 mods, Airbox, Exhust valve and such.
The cable is a quick fix and install. Get a idle screw from a 95-99 CBR 900RR and put it in the throttel bodies. Take out one of the set screws and this cable screws right in.

Hay Nags I have a few extra happy pills. Let me know if you need some.

I thought he meant the bikes idle.

Well... I dunno. I have a bone stock 954 and can rock it on the idle all day long. Hell, my no handers are longer on that bike then on my "stunt" bike

edit; 954 in pic isn't mine but its also bone stock. Mine doesn't even have frame sliders.. thats how stock it is

Makes sence to me. With the gearing anyway.

You don't have the idle up mod?

Re: cbr 954 sprokets

Not on either bike

I really haven't felt the need for it... Vertical Joe can go no handed the entire length of lakeland and doesn't have it so why should I?

That being said.. I'm constantly doing stuff to my bike that doesn't need to be done and I'd like to try it on the 929 just to see what the hype is about

Re: cbr 954 sprokets

Well for one thing you can twist it like half a turn any more and your off the rev limiter. LOL. Stock one you have to twist like 4 whole rotation. SUX

Re: cbr 954 sprokets

https://www.stuntlife.com/forums/sho...t=adjuster+101

here is idle adjuster mod, it's pretty cool, because you can set the stock adjuster to 1200, Then wind the idle up with this additional adjuster, and when you back the idle back down, you can turn it down without checking how low it goes, because the stock adjuster keeps it at 1200.

My only wish would be that this additional adjuster would be even longer and would stick out more under the airbox.
