Better Or Not ?

I have a GSX-R 750 '01 with 1down and 2up and I was wondering if it was better to change my gearing for practicing 12'ves or leave it the way it is ? I wanted to put 2down and 4up but I heard that when the bike is geared to agressive that the bike jerks too much and it makes it harder for learning 12'ves . Let me know guy's...Thanx

Check out this link for some good answers...

1 up and 2 down is pretty much the prefect gearing for a good "All-Around" stunt bike. If 12's are your thing then you can always go up more in the rear, but it is always better to start smaller and work your way up.

Alot people are under the impression if they go up to a large rear sproket they are automatically going to be able to 12 easier....Not true. 12's are all about rear brake control and until you get that down pat you will be breaking alot of body parts.

my gearing

I have 5up in the rear on my 2000 750,which is essentialy the equivelent to 1 down and 2up(rear). I can do 12's all day no problem I like the gearing alot.
