ok pretty straight forward question....my 2001 cbr929 tranny is toast...my buddy has a crashed 2002 cbr954 with 1000 miles on it that I can have cheap(for the record no its not stolen,he's a salvage dealer)so can I put the 954 motor in my 929??? do I use the 954 computer? are the wiring harnesses the same????or any other info I need to know....anyones help would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

yes it will bolt right in, take the whole motor kit, wiring, ecu airbox, radaitor fromt he 954, you will also need guages, left light switch from the 954.

929 tank sits a little higher, just place some spacers under the tank

 

ask your boy w. the 954 to sell me a front rim.

 

Does the 954 tranny fit the 929. Cause my 929 second gear is out. and a buddy of mine has a 954 tranny. Is the transmission the same?????

not like the tranny just Swaps out dude. gotta competely take the engine appart witch in the long run will turn into more of a hassle then anything. just swap the 954 motor in there.
