unless ur rich stunting the R6 is a bad idea...you need a bar and cage at least on it.. check out www.racing905.com or www.mxd.com

DO NOT STUNT YOUR 2005 R6. your bike is too nice. buy a used 01 or 02 F4i, or a 98 or 99 900rr, or even a 929 or 954.

if your a n00b dont stunt a new bike. other than that, good luck

Hey bro,
I've got the same issue as you. Have an 05 r6 and want to stunt with it. Learning how to wheelie, stoppies, high chairs, and a few other stunts, but nothin outrageous right yet. I would just keep it plane and simple for right now. But its all on you.. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

don't stunt it??? dont' listen to them. if u got the dough for parts, hell yea, stunt it. how many '05 r6's have u seen bein' stunted? that's originallity bro. bp is insanely high on the new r6, but don't fret, grasshopper. for starts, put a cage 'round it, and go from there. don't rush it...it'll come 2 u. more power to u.

i think everyone pops wheelies and endo here and there on any sportbike,if you looking to do that go ahead, but if your wanting to stunt and learn beyond basic tricks that pretty much every street rider can do buy a junker bike and put on a 12 bar and cage

lets start off by not saying......."pop a wheelie"

that is not a good look........if you dont have any $ you might as well stunt what you got!!!!!! Take your time and do it in a safe environment.....I am learning as well, so as far as gear goes:
helmet, gloves, jacket, and a cage(u might not have the $,but you should save up for it b/f you stunt b/c it will save you tons of $)

be safe!!!!!!!!

Re: How to get your bike/self ready for tricks.

sorry to come off like i did. but your best bet if you do decide to stunt your bike would be to get a cage first. personaly id recomend a Freestyle Ingenuity cage because if you wanna go hit twisties you can take the bottom loop off and still have sliders. (www.freestyleingenuity.com) as for a 12 bar.... and this is where im serious... DO NOT cut your plastic's. their brand new... buy a tail that already has scratchs, cracks, etc, and just use that.

if you need any more help PM me or just post it up.

r6 is a kicka$$ stuntbike,bp in not high at all,my friend has sliders and wreack almost everytime we go out and never breaks anything important,I would keep the gears stock , instead of buying a second bike, get a 50 and in a month you,ll have the rear brake down

05 R6 rear sub frame is Die-cast Aluminum. Big bucks. If you say you’re new at it the likely hood that your going to ball it up is pretty high. If you can afford to fix it or be one of the 95% of new riders that have a claim with in the first 30 days. Add to the increasing cost of insurance, hell yeah you’ll look cool.

Re: How to get your bike/self ready for tricks.

bike: cage it and put a bar on it and you will be ok, the bike will start to look like crap after a while but that is the price you pay for being a stunter

yourself: helmet, jacket, gloves and good jeans, all this will help but it will still hurt when you wreck, but once again that is the price you pay to have sick tricks

the most important part is practice, dont push yourself further than you can go and you will be fine
