wheelies

I was wondering how my wheelie looked, the one on my avatar. Also I felt like I was at the balance point but sorta not, what do yall think. Oh ya by the way, that is a gs500, first bike its not to bad.

I had a staggered stance too if that will make a difference on the balance point.

how fast were you going.... cuz unless you were doin like 80 you werent at balence point.

yeah dude, your close, but not at balance point. You'll know when your there, my avatar pic is a little behind balance point, at ~30mph?. Just to give you an idea. How do you like the gs500? Never rode one, but they are a good 1st bike. (i rode a 250ninja for a while lol)

thought it should have been higher. Ill just have to trust myself i guess to be able to get it higher. ya I like the gs, its quick enough for now and overall real nice, better than I thought it would be. its a 94 with 6000mi for 1100 so i bought it. But ya alot of people think my gs is pretty cool. ya in the pic I was doin 30-35. thanks for the help and all

yeah your not that far from BP,just take your time and cover your brake and you'll be fine...slowly rock em further back.

Get your forks more parallel with the ground and your there. Get a feel for that rear brake too.....you'll need it.

higher higher!

gettin close but definatly have a ways to go yet. Just take your time eventually you will just keep pushin it further back and your wheelies will get longer. Thats how i found balance point.

I will have to get some taken that is the only bright one, the others are too dark. And you cant see them well at all.

abit blurry, camera on still close shot but oh well all i had time to get today.
this ones higher, this wheelie actually maintained a constant speed didnt accelerate.

Yup I'd say that's BP in the second pic for sure!

Dude I had an EX500 for my 1st bike, with -1 +2 gearing I could "kinda" get it up in 2nd. Those 500's are good bikes to learn on, I've never rode a GS though. Good luck man and keep at it. Never forget to cover your rear brake.

thanks dude, I was thinking about gearing my bike but I am about to sell it so I decided not to. Oh ya how did that gearing mess with your speed in first, like how much of a drop. thanks for all the help.
