i want to put this CHAIN
on my 01 F4i.... how hard is it and what tools do i need?

edit: im gonna be running a 15/52 set up... do you guys think vortex sprockets and the chain are good, dependable products?

 

520 chain is fine but i would get waaaayyy more gearing than that if its goin on ur stunt-only bike.

 

well, i thought it, and im doing fine with just the -1 on my 02 f4i. the extra +4 or +6 will be plently for now. and myself and a friend will be riding this bike on the street from time to time so... i dont wanna totally gear the crap out of it.

 

i have an r6 that i just geared this winter. i spent all last season with only a -2 front and that was good enuf for just about anything i wanted to learn, inlcuding clutching out of seat standers. BUT (and i dont kno how good u r right now) i was clutching out at 25-30 which was much faster than anyone wants to do. i would suggest however either just running a -2 up front and not buyin a whole set up or starting with all the gearing out back so u have the flexibility to go -1 or -2 if u want
