i gotta check the fuel pump gasket cuz my bike is leaking gas slwoly...now ive taken the tank off like 5 times befor this and i dont mind it cept theres no easy way to drain the gas. anyone got any suggestions on how to do this. its a 02 f4i.

 

you can buy a hand pump to pump the gas out for real cheap at an autoparts store.

 

I would say either take the tank off and open the tank from the top and turn it upside down or lay it on it's side and take the entire fuel pump off and set it upright till the gas drains out. Other than that you can syphon it out but it'll take forever.

 

take the fuel line off at the fuel rail and drain it that way.
it takes alittle longer then the hand pump way, but its free.

 

ok i foudn the easiest way to drain my tank and the quickest. get a tick piece of flexable tubing mien prolyl was an inch 1/2 in diameter stick it all the way in the tank let the rest of it hang out into a bucket or w.e. now u need an air nosle(sp) that has a hose so u can stick that jsut a lil bit in the tank to. then u put a towel ova it and push down hard trying to seal it press the lever on air nosle. this will pressurize the tanka nd the gas shud come shooting out. i drained the whole tank it bout 10 secs.
