great, ill post up some pics of a bike that wrecked in a tank wheelie, went down on the 10 fwy--its a real bad freeway, has cement grooves, you can see the grooves on the cage-- the bike has gone down many times, cage didnt bend, but it did wear down. give me a minute, you can see for yourself all the damage that happened.
the bike still runs fine, i bought it off the guy.

and the pics. theres some damage to the exhaust, he went up a curb. then some small scratches on the rear. check out the grooves in the tank & sliders. the damage on the cases was from the first time he dropped the bike, which is also why it has the titanium carbon fibre uppers & lowers before he had the cage

no im not going to be at daytona bike week. but i can ship and they are very easy to intall. all you need is a drill, 17mm short socket, 9/16 short & long socket & 2 extensions for you rachet. takes about 30 mins. the first time, then ten minutes everytime after that.

if you are that serious, you might scrape the cage. like i said before, if you lay the bike down, the exhaust and the cage hit at just about the same time, and on the other side, the case is about a 1/2" from the ground when the cage hits. just take it easy at first, then get into it if you dont scrape it.
Re: Track Cages?
believe me gents, i will...i nearly lowsided last year in turn9 (at loudon) with a homemade cage on...lucky the old knee held her up!
should be a good test on the kawi though...i plan on doing some good street rides this year!
i'll take her easy, the cages look cool and like i said i'm excited to try it out!! i will also say that jeff has been very prompt and cordial through our email convo's...

i dont think it would scrape if you went easy on it...ie: not racing ama..
....but i definately think you can get a knee down on it...hell ill come do it on your bike next time im at the shop.....i dont see it being in the way that bad...then again i havent ridin the track cage.....
Re: Track Cages?
The stator was scratched from a previous wreck, if you read what he said. And if you have your knee down, I don't think you'd hit that track cage, unless you're really leaning the bike over.

yes it was scratched before it had the cage on. he was waiting for the cage to get coated, decided to get drunk on 4th of july, lost control and the case kinda explains what happened next.
