Tires Tires

If I like to just cruise and fart around what kind of tire should I go for?

I had people tell me that the michelin pilot power were awesome
then I had people say the Dunlop 208 were awesome.

Were they both lying? I need some help

And if anybody doesn't know about this sweet *** site then here...

Re: Tires Tires

If you are just looking something to cruise on or do wheelies I recommend using the new Shinko street tires. Doesn't have a very sharp peak like most sport tires which doesn't really help it in the corners but it is great in a straight line and has a flatter contact patch for riding wheelies.

Re: Tires Tires

180/55/17 is $99. 190/50/17 is $105. This is from www.ronayers.com
They are not on the website though. You will have to call and order them though or your local shop may have them. I get the 180s for $81 cause I work there. Lucky me.

TIRES

208s are the worst wheelie tires out there. Especially if its less than 70 out.

No doubt. My bike came with 208's on it and they're total ***. I know it's winter, but damn. They don't stick the way you'd expect them to-- even when you're on the highway.

I'm gonna burn through the last bits of 208 once I get some $$ and try the pilots.

Re: Tires Tires

I just ordered a new pilot powers... Should be here by thursday. I'll let everyone know how it works out.

So far though the best I've had have been the pirelli Diablos. They felt nice and stable on wheelies and had excellent grip.

Re: Tires Tires

tha pilots on the front....i ride a yzf and that ***** is heavy as hell and hard to roll a good stoppie but with that pilot on the front it hooks up alot better than any other tire i have put on there it warms up pretty quick and sticks good!

on the rear i just get tha freebies from tha local shop...but i ran a brand new pilot on the back and it was good liked it alot
