Question putting a 12 bar on a 04r6

i want to know what is the best way of putting a 12 bar on a 04r6 without having to cut the tail any but still getting it close to 12 but also being able to put your foot in the bar

i think u are gonna have to just chop it,

or take the tail off, and leave the back naked,

don't be scared to cut the tail.....

if your scared to cut the tail find a set of messed up ones,im not sure if eariler models would fit or not but its worth a look.

www.racing905.com has an "external bar" that may not require cutting your tail. Check it out..

yeah the 04 is die cast....that sub frame is gonna be fu(ked if he hits 12 hard...it's just gonna break

its gonna break even if you dont hit hard all the weight of the bike on a paper thin subframe. You better get it reinforced or something.

or better yet put a subframe from a 99-02 r6 on there it will bolt rite up my friend did it to his 04 r6, after he bought a 12 bar from powers and the guys there told him there was a 99% chance his subframe was gonna break when he hit 12s

so i say befor you put a 12bar on that minty 04 r6 get a diff subframe

oh yeah and if you are worried about cuttin the tail why are u even wanting to put a 12 bar on there cutting the tail should be the least of your worries
as it has been said befor if you are gonna stunt your bike it's gonna get fu(ked up anyway so cut tha b*tch
