Which 1, Powers or 905 crash cage......

 

theres tons and tons of these threads,but i know lots of people running 905 and they like them,i dont have a 905 cage but i do have a 905 bar and their customer service is great

 

Both are great cages , both companys make great products , matt and sue are great to deal with at powers the customer service is outstanding.........

 

I like powers... never used a 905. But I think powers has stopped production for right now because the owners are having some disagreements.

I'm not trying to be a **** but there are tons of posts about this already and they are all good cages, just pick one you like.

 

I first had a powers cage and busted 2 starter gear covers and cracked 1 stator cover. I have a 905 cage and bar now and I love em, they are built strong and can take a beating, and there customer service is great.
One main thing I did notice with the 905, if it is bent you can still unbolt it from your bike with no problems, but with the powers cage we had to cut it off!!!
But I don't think I would run anything but 905 now, just my 2 cents.

i would get neither i have a mxd cage and the thing is bi7chin.....hit hte ground at 70 mph and held up great ad the bike had no damage.....i dont think i will ever rock anything else.

 

powers, is a good company for 12 bars and crash cages....their customer service isnt that great though....i overnighted my parts and they didnt send me a reciept or the scrape plate with the 12 bar....here i am 3 weeks later, no plate, had to make one myself....call them all the time and they always have some excuse....
other than that, the cage does a hell of a job on my 04gsxr600, wide cage,and the 12 bar is solid ......never had 905

check us out. cheaper than both 905 and powers and i guarantee you wont hit your shins or break oil filters like on a 905. ask anyone out there thats sponsored by 905, they have broken oil filters.

what kinda bike is it for? if its a gixxer i'd say Powers, i knoiw they hold off good on powers, the 900 i know the 905 is good for it.. deprends on bike really i think

 

that is definitely true...
depends on the bike, for width of the cage and all of them are built different anyways...companys will build a cage to match "HAROLD's" 750 and when it gets to your house it wont match yours, all bikes are different

id def go with a 905 cage. just not because they sponsor us but their **** really holds up well, and the costomer service is really good also.

 

true. like i can just go to the shop and buy a bike just to make a cage. would you let a stranger keep your bike for a week?

 

ha ha i would let you but i already have a cage........why dont you rent one and get the measurements......it might cost a lot but it would prolly eb worth it.....

If I got a free prototype cage out of it I would. I was gonna do that with a local cage builder but all I was offered was a discount

THATS WHAT I DO.... trust me bro, its harder than it seems to get all the bikes from people you meet at a bike night or something. discounts are weak, i hook people up and its still a *****
