loose head bearings

hey i think my head bearings on my f4i are loose. i had some loose head bearings on my fiddy before and it feels teh same. when i brake hard, i feel a "skip" in the handle bars.

my question is, how dangerous is that? should i fix it right away?

on the fiddy fixing it was cake, real quick too. but gettin to the head bearings is gonna be a ***** on the f4i it seems. any advice?

thanks

Re: loose head bearings

Not too dangerious but if you leave it you'll wear out the races and you'll have to replace the whole bearing set. Thats a big job and their not too cheap

Also it might cause tank slappers, I know the bad bearings in my 954 caused my wreck.

Re: loose head bearings

Yeah, I have the same symptom on my '01 F4i. I've been learning slow wheelies in 1st with no problem from the bearings....yet. Eventually I'll have to fix it.
