900rr, help!

Went out an rode my stuntbike a little today. Halfway through it started to make a clicking sound. The sound got worse, and the bike kept loosing more and more power. Now I cant even hardly bounce a wheelie up in second gear (stock gearing). I cant even clutch it up in second gear, no matter how far I rev it.

Right after the clicking began, I checked the oil, and it must have been just under the dipstick because I had checked it just the other day. I went to the nearest gas station and filled it up fuller, almost a whole quart. Now it was way over the line on the dipstick, but as I went home, the sound kept getting worse. Now I am at home, and my bike has no power and sounds horrible. Did I destroy the engine by not having quiiiite enough oil, or what? Im pretty upset, anyone else have this happen? help me out! Thanks.

Re: 900rr, help!

i had a 99 900. it had that clicking sound, but i think mine was the cams turning in cold weather? i sold my bike to some gay *** mexican who then put tribals and and ghost graphics on it and **** but anyway, i heard that the valves had to be redone after i sold it, they were bad....i had 20000 miles with no valve job in 15000 of riding so maybe thats ur problem.

Re: 900rr, help!

Thanks for posting up.

Maybe I shouldnt be doing any tank wheelies close to redline with low oil. Im just learning spreader wheelies and Im getting it up in first gear and finding the BP, and I usually find it pretty close to the redline, unfortunaly. Wont do that anymore (if I can get this fixed) untill I get a different oil pickup.

I will try to check these things out. Sounds costly, and I have no money right now. I guess the stuntbike is outa commission for a bit
