Design looks good, but the tubing looks thin. Beef it up and get a good welder on the job.

Re: what do you guys think bout this cage???

looks like a good design but...
1. tubing looks too thin
2. it looks like the the place where the 2 cage parts meet at the bottom of the bike is pretty wimpy. if that broke, that would mean stripped bolts, cracked case covers...
3. the bike would still be prone to rolling over onto the upper fairings because of the low mounting points on f4/f4i's

Re: what do you guys think bout this cage???

my man hooked me up wit the cage i got on my bike now (after i cracked my FI, tsk tsk tsk), and he originally picked it up from ebay. the only thing is i know it'll take the abuse, well...because it has, plus the tubing is a quarter inch thick and where it mounts under the bike, the tubing isn't hollow...it's a straight up full metal cylinder, guaranteed to take punishment. you'll definately be runnin' the risk of a faulty cage, but if worst comes to worst, a couple strategically welded pieces of tubing will be all it needs. who knows, it might be strong as *****. looks a little sketchy however, where it mounts under the bike. good deal tho.

here's my ebay cage

where the two come 2gether. sh*t would weigh 200lbs if the whole cage was solid.

Re: what do you guys think bout this cage???

I think i'd save my $75 for something else. That tubing looks like something you'd see in a fold up tent, and the welds were the tubing meets the flat mounting plates look pretty shotty.
