help with hand brake fabrication

Has anyone fabricated a hand brake? If so could you please post some pictures of your design and how well it works and the price. I am trying to save some money and would rather make my own than buy a whole set up. Any tips would be great.....thanks

Re: help with hand brake fabrication

or you can buy a gsxr front master put on left clip on flipped upside down get a longer hose and mount a bracket to your upper triple and the resevour the the bracket and you can get the fitting and the line from phil at 814-563-7292 i can lock my rear tire with 1 finger make sure you get a gsxr front master or r6 there pretty much the same and get the fitting for the rear with the line. good luck

yup.........i did it that way so i can have constant pressure at all times on either foot or hand brake. i never tried doing it the other way, but i heard you have to completely let pressure off one before you grab the other. im pretty sure both ways work fine, and you would have to just get use to it. im still getting use to useing mine.

My bike is a 03 R1 a friend of mine has a 2001 gsxr parts bike and I can get his caliper and brake I think a gsxr caliper should work,? I just have to mill the brackett in 1/2 or get a new one. looking at your set up I think thats the best i've seen it's pimp as hell so im going that way.
