avatar editing??

everytime i try to put my own avater up it says that image is too big whether its from my camera or my picture phone.how do i shrink the pic so i can use it please help?

Upload the pic, right click, hit "edit" then it will open in paint. Go to image, then "stretch scew". resize it to something close to the ones you see on here. then try it. if it has to be smaller, do it again and make it smaller. Gets kind of grainy... but it works.

it has to be less then 150x150 pixels and under 40kb.. not alot of size wish they would up how big it can be size wise.. cant do much with 40kb

i had afriend do mine through photoshop a 600 dollar program what a pain in the *** theres got to be an easier way

i tried in paintbrush i get the right size but when i save it ,its black and white what tje fu*k

okay you need photoshop so you can reduce the pic size all avatar pics need to be 150 by 150 pixels then your pic should work

i tried in paint it worked than it saved black and white i guess ill have to jack photo shop from somewhere cause i aint paying 600 dollars 4 the program

Hey I had the very same problem! I edited the picture and lowered it to 150x150 but then I get some stuff about it not being the correct type of file!!
What gives, how the hell do you convert um??????
