i understand that shortening the exhaust helps with scraping the pipe during 12' wheelies. is there not a way of just getting rid of the whole can??? i know of a guy who rides with my buddy and he has this 02 r1 with a weird *** can coming out of the bottom fairing. it looks like a minature can welded to the end of the header. i couldn't even tell until i realized that something wasn't right. i couldn't find the damn exhaust on the thing. i just thought that was kinda cool and now that i think about it, it would probably help stunters too cuz you don't have to worry about scraping the tip or even messing it up if you wreck during stunting. cuz those cages won't save your exhaust will they??? anybody know what i'm talking about??? i'm sure it was a custom job, but i didn't know if anybody knew how it could be done.

ya you could do it as long as your bike has all the pipes come together far enough up front. it will prob be louder but it really depends on the can something like the hotbodies undertail can would probably work nice but there pretty loud.
