Irrepairable title?

What can you do with a bike with an irrepairable title? Cant you re-title it in a more lenient state?

Re: Irrepairable title?

you can 'clean' a title in some states....like vermont.

that is shady business though and it can be traced if they really wanted to.

you can ride it all you want, you just cant register it....it has been deemed too damaged to be repaired.

Re: Irrepairable title?

you can also just get a salvage title and stamp a new number on the bike with a number punch set from sears......

lol i like it. i wanna get a part time job at the DMV so i can pull such trickery.

Bill thats a good idea, the problem is finding JUST the title. you can't buy them on ebay.

I got a sweet little 929, and it would be worth a ton more if I can get a legit title

you have to find a bike in a reg. salvage yard not a motorcycle salvage yard. they dont know what they are worth and most of them are shady as hell anyways...you can also just find a salvage bike that they havent salvaged the title yet ....

EXACTLY. that a good way to go about it...... I got a big industrial metal recycling dumpster at work that would be perfect to chuck a junk bike into after I buy it for the title.

yea teach I guess I can title it as any make of bike. Honda/Kawi they all look the same with the fairings off.

Re: Irrepairable title?

pm me for info on a 929 frame (straight) and title...i'm thinking about the same loot ($14-1500) but i gotta check first.

ARGO is new england's largest salvage dealer...one of the biggest in the country too. i have access to just about everything...if it can be bought, they prolly have it.

don't call for parts though, bikes/frames/titles all legit of course.
