F2 doesn't wheelie?

Just looking for some advice as to how I could fix this problem. My F2 I just bought, I haven't tried a ton of wheelies yet, but from what I've done so far it'll come up to however high I clutch it and then die and drop.

What could be the problem and how can I fix it?

Re: F2 doesn't wheelie?

is this a stunting question or a mechanical question?

does it drive normally otherwise? you got plenty of gas in it ?

can you clutch wheelies on other bikes ?

Re: F2 doesn't wheelie?

from what we have talked about, it runs fine. Pulls hard to redline but wont clutch up. Its gears -1 +12 and my F2 wheelies better than hes doin with only -1 gearing.

Ive told him to just give it some time and get used to the bike and stay in the throttle but with that agressive of gearing that thing should pop right into BP in 1st like its nothing.

can't wheelie with -1 +12 gearing? I'm going to keep my comments to myself.

Re: F2 doesn't wheelie?

I still have my 954. It seems like a mechanical problem to me. I haven't tried it a lot cause it died after my 10th wheelie attempt last night. when I clutch it up, it'll come up high if I clutch it hard enough, it just doesn't wanna stay up it does even with the throttle open.

It might just be that I'm not used to carbs. If I can get this **** running today I'll try to get some video of it..

Re: F2 doesn't wheelie?

if it runs fine otherwise its prob. a carb or fuel pump problem. either something is shorting out in the fuel pump ,somethings loose and pinching the fuel line, the floats could be sticking in the carbs(try cleaning them) does it seem to be mechanical or electrical. if everything cuts off you have a shorted wire somewhere...thats a pain in the *** to track down...good luck, keep us posted

Re: F2 doesn't wheelie?

It doesn't "cut off" it's like it's not getting any gas no matter how much I give it. The carbs work fine when the bike is on 2 wheels though.

check the fuel pump, make shure its bolted down and check the wires for the fuel pump. check the fuel pump relay to if that bike has one.

Re: F2 doesn't wheelie?

Haha, wow I'm kinda an idiot. Theres absolutely no gas in the tank at all. The wheelies where it wouldn't come up were 5 seconds before the bike died and the ofotpeg came off, then when i tried to start it the button failed on me so I was so stressed out I didn't look at the gas tank.

Re: F2 doesn't wheelie?

yea i heard that too that the F3 has the fuel pump and the F2 is gravity fed. does a stock F2 starve at the balance point ? since it has no fuel pump?

Re: F2 doesn't wheelie?

Apparently. Once I get this battery running I'll know for sure though. Yesterday outside when I was practicing wheelies I turned around in 40mph road by my house like 5 times to do wheelies both ways and as I went to get gas a cop was all stealthy with his black car and lights off doing ****in radar when you pass the hill. Luckily I have a detector and the fat *** cop didn't hit the radar soon enough so I was able to slow my civic down and avoid a ticket.
