stand up update...
ok here is an update. in 2nd gear, i can get the front up with bouncing it up with both feet on front peg. NO CLUTCH. the only problem is i can't keep it up. first of all, it doesn't come up that high, but it does consistently. the problem i noticed today is that when i bounce the front up, i'm too scared to lean back so i am literaly hugging the tank with my legs and it comes right back down. i really dont' like bouncing it because like someone said earlier, it jumps at a certain point. i have a good feel for the clutch when sitting down in 2nd so i would like to stick with that. SO, i decided to go with left back right front and practice clutching while standing. HERE IS THE PROBLEM I NOTICED FROM MY WHEELIE SESSION TODAY.
1)i feel very unbalanced with stagered feet(i'm sure i'll get used to it)
2)i'm having trouble holding on(when i clutch it, most of the time the front won't come up like it does when i'm sitting down. it just lunges forward, therefore almost throwing my *** off the bike)
3)the few times i got the front end up, i didn't know what i needed to do next. lean back and try and get the bike to come up with me or give it more throttle and let the bike lean me back as it's coming up???
***should i practice standups in first gear first or stick with higher speed second gear wheelies???
***even on higher speed wheelies, should i still let some air out front my tires??? how does tire pressure help me with wheelies???

SLOW= staggared
FAST= both up front
clutch it up and stay on the gas, dont hug your tank, relax and tap the rear brake as soon as you come up for the first ten of the day then you will never loop it---at least thats the theory
and you should let a little air out for right now. maybe drop your pressure to around 20-25psi

it just takes practice,i spent all summer doing shitty power wheelies,just learn slowly and you'll have a less chance of wrecking..the balance point will come to you,also the left foot on the rear makes it a lot easier to wheelie in the long run.learn to clutch it up higher and you'll get to the point were your revs will slow down then finally keep steady.
Re: stand up update...
I couldnt do standups for the reason you stated in 2(holding on when you clutch it. the way I do it is clutch it sitting down,then stand up as the bike comes up. FYI 2nd,30-40mph,&20-25psi, better know the rear brake. My 50 got me in the habit of always covering it.
Re: stand up update...
keep your arms locked and dont lean forward. also you gotta stay on the throttle, sounds like to me that your gettin scared as soon as the wheelie comes up alittle and your rollin off. On my F2 i gotta keep the throttle pinned till im atleast in the middle of the "hump" which is right befor BP and i kinda graduallly roll off as i get near the BP.
Re: stand up update...
i wouldn't recommend clutching it up in 2nd while standing...it's too unstable (for me atleast)...i think it would be better if you practice 2nd gear standups without the clutch...just bounce and as soon as you compress the fork open the throttle...keeping it up is gonna take time and later it will be easy

thats just stupid right there.
learn the right way, use the clutch. if you cant use the clutch then you are just a fool on a powerful streetbike.
if youre scared then dont wheelie
Re: stand up update...
use the clutch pow pow power wheelies are garbage (to quote whoever started that now on SL lol)2nd gear, 35 mph pull in clutch and dump it after you hear the RPM's get up there a good ways (on my F2 i practically hit redline hehe) keep in the throttle but cover the break... I also have to have my my left foot back (staggered) when i pull up 2nd. But my bikes heavier then yours by quite a bit up front.

like in your avatar.....i dont want my wheelies to look like that.... Re: stand up update...
Yeah learn to clutch it the right way. Power wheelies are dangerous when your first learn to wheelie. They are unpredictable. Maybe not so much on a 600 but if you ever step up to a bigger bike you'll want to make sure you got clutching down. It will help you in the long run.

Re: stand up update...
i guess i just need PRACTICE!!! i went on a pretty long wheelie session yesterday and i feel like it's getting better. i'm just a chicken shiat still and when the front comes up i'm letting the throttle go so it comes right back down. couple times though i told my self to cowboy the Fup and keep giving it throttle and it came up pretty good, but i just can't stand up straight yet so its kinda crappy. i want to try and get this thing down before it gets too cold, but i might be running out of time. i guess better to take it slow then crash my pretty bike. thanks for all the GREAT ADVICE. it's helping. i'll keep you guys updated on how my standups are going. thanks again guys.

It aint the bike it's you. Go practice more or don't come on here talking about what you don't know. You look more foolish each time
