circles are a trick ya gotta have if you are a stunt rider.

but they take so damn long to get....main thing that helped me was looking where i want to go.

Re: Circles...The painful battle

I seriously have dreams of turning O's.. they've gotten to me that bad.

Everyone I know goes right, and I dont know why.. I think right is easier, but @ the same time will hinder you ability to go left. I'm dedicating myself to go left for now on, and I know its not gonna be easy. Back to square one!

those arent circles, you are just steering the bike in a circle...the real way is withonly one chick in the middle and you go around so fast adn tight that she doesnt even have to move, she just opens her mouth...

you need to step up YOUR skills!

hey jordon, read above about "driving circles". ryan, brad, pawpaw...they all do that... real (skill) cirlces are done with some lean angle and more speed, not straight up and down.

and i was yellin about the 636 this time last year! great weight, smooth, but needs a little gear to compensate for a 9's torque, clipons are angled down and the ram air tube is crap.

Re: Circles...The painful battle

im in the same boat but just went from a 900 to a 600rr and im hoping ill have an easier time. i feel like ive been turning 180's for a year with a full 360 once in a while. im just afraid to gas it but i know that is the key. gorka had a post about circles awhile back and it is probably the best explanation iv ever heard.

Gorka PM'd me this a while back:

"The key to circles is doing quarter turns. Put in laymans terms, focus on linking a lot of quarter turns together rather than focusing on 360degrees at a time. Quarter turn, correct, quarter turn, correct.....That's the main objective. Keep your body in line with the bike.If you lean right (when doing circles to the left) you'll highside when the speeds increase and you cintrifugally-force yourself into a highside condition. Only lean off when initially turn into the circle, then, you should be focusing on those quarter turns. Pivot the bike underneath you then get yourself in-line with the center axis of the bike. Sound complicated???? We'll be going over that in full detail. Wait till advanced wheelie vid for the detail....your head will explode! "

Thanks again
Gorka

I know you've been hearing this forever, but advanced wheelies should be back from the duplicator any time now. If you can't do them after watching it, just sell your bike and give up.

Re: Circles...The painful battle

I feel your pain Jimmy, I have the exact opposite problem your having I keep stallin mine out. I've already trashed one cage, fuel tank various other little **** broke my frame in half and brakeing engine mounts on my 900RR. Besides all that I go home pissed off at night. But I realize now I'm not doing circles I'm steering the bike. I'm droppin my motor out to night to weld some new mounts on and weld the frame again. I Just need to work the clutch and the throttle whitch I'm not doing right now.

Re: Circles...The painful battle

I know we can ride any way we want to, but is there an advantage to turning left instead of right. It feels much more natural to go to the right, but I see every one going left.

Im working on them left foot on peg going to the left, just feels so much more natural to me after I got used to it. Keep the tips coming fellas
