need help with title? repo bike

Ok guys put on your thinking caps. I am thinking about buying an 06 r1 raven. it was a repo bike with no title.... It had a lean on it. should I buy a new frame with a good title? I was thinking about talking to my cousin he works at the local salvage yard. maybe have it "impounded" an somehow obtain a title that way? and ideas? I would be most thankful.

oh and whats the fastest way to get the steering unlock, hotwire, an gas tank open.....j/k I seen a few shady threads so wanted to put that in here haha

If the bike was a "legit" Repo Bike the bank would have given a lien release when it was sold. The mechanic lein to obtain title does not work when theres a lein. It sounds to me like your asking how to make a bike you have no legal right to legit and that would be swapping the frame, however its not that hard to research a 06 block to orgin paperwork the DMV might catch you and take it all and you will get nothing.

Re: need help with title? repo bike

Good rule of thumb.....

If you buy a bike that has no title and the seller tells you that you cant get a title for it ever..... Its just a parts bike no matter how nice or new it is.

If that no title bike came from any place other than a ins. auction consider the the frame and engine un-useable... if it came from a ins. auction then only the frame is un-useable
