So i searched and found threads on how to flip clip ons but only for 636 and others...none for the r6!!

From what i gathered all i have to do is

1) move right clip on to the left and vis versa
2) drill a hole for the throttle tube tab
3) put brake and clutch on the appropriate clip ons
4) tighten everything up and done!!

I have vortex clip ons so is that all i have to do??

And if anyone could post up pics of the process or even a close up of their bars that would be helpful!!

 

It's just as you said put the clamp that normally goes on the right side on the left and the left on the right. Drill the hole for your pin and turn them out as far as you would like.


Look in the post pics of your r6 thread and you should be able to find something.

I did throw up a pic. That's my bike with the ghetto zip tie speedo mount. It's a work in progress.

Ya your best bet would be to sell the vortex and buy the Si side mounts! Especially if your on a 03 r6 and full fairing, You will have clearance issues with those vortex if flipped and turned out very far!

 

dont use the stock bars....THEY SNAP!!! lol

 

yeah those look good...might have to sell the vortex if they don't work out!! How are you thinking of mounting ur speedo? or are you going to keep it like that, was also thinking of a way cause i wanna turn mine into a SF and ran into that dilema!!

Yeah probably will SF the bike while i learn and i guess will have to play with the angle so i have clearance...thanks fo the heads up

sorry man hahahahaha they wont break.....the worse that would happen is the bar tubes will bend but it takes a hell of a beating for that

could i just switch the bars when i flip the clip ons instead of drilling another hole in the other bar?
