Re: Help 07 cbr600rr idle screw

purchase a 900 rr idle cable, then pull your tank, and air box off. follow your throttle cable down, and unscrew the throttle return stop from the throttle body's. screw the 900 rr cable into that, and your good!

Don't want to sound like a jerk, have you done this on the 07 rr yet? it's a little more complicated then that because the idle is actually computer controlled and does not come stock with a idle adjuster/air fuel mixture screw. You can put on a idle adjuster just like you stated but your idle is still going to be pretty jumpy unfortunately due to the computer controlled idle.

ya i stunted an 07 for about a year. i never had a lot of the so called idle issues with mine. i understand there is more to be done, to smooth the idle on this bike, but he was just asking about the idle cable mod.

Re: Help 07 cbr600rr idle screw

As I have unfortunately learned, the 07 08 rr's do not have idle screws..Unless you are VERY crafty you can not attach a idle screw because the idle is controlled by some **** called an air valve..I have researched this subject immensely as I have an 008 Honda CBR and was about to stunt her out completely..got the cage, bought a new sprocket and chain..was callin around for hand brake..when all of a sudden some dude at my local Bike shop(been there for years) tells me that the 07 08 rr's are not able to adjust idle, UNLESSS, you no how to bypass that whole air valve thingamajig..IVe searched cbr forums..stunt forums..everywhere and here a lot of theories..but have not really heard of any concrete ( ie pics ) of it actually being done..sorry to be a buzz kill..
