06 600rr Help please!!

Hey guys,

I'm having a problem with my idle mod(please read whole thing before commenting). Ok i've searched through this whole site, and nobody has an answer that works. I set the idle at 3,000rpm, it sits there, than climbs up to 4 grand 5 seconds later, let the clutch out and rolls at about 2,500rpm, pull in clutch, goes to 3 grand, then 5 seconds later up to 4 grand again!! Idle is weak as hell, i have set the original idle screw(mixture) to 1,300 which is stock idle. Nothing disconnected, stock exhaust, idle is F**KED. Bike is just a mission to handle because idle cant hold me up in a wheelie. People on this site have had this same problem but the threads just end and they never posted how they fixed it!!! please help anyone!

i didnt think it was a problem with the 06 but try disconnecting your speed sensor that may help keep it at a steady rpm and as far as it not pulling hard try messing with the stock cable to see if it helps , maybe start at like 1000 rpm with the stock cable then set your aftermarket cable to where ever you like then just try 1100 and so on ..works on some f4i's so it may work for you

Re: 06 600rr Help please!!

another possibility for a weak idle could be old sparkplugs ..

on some 600rr's it make the idle stay at what ever rpm you set it at and no you dont loop the wires you just unplug it
