suspension and wheelies

im new to wheelies, im clutching it up in first on an 05 zx6r and it feels like my rear suspension absorbs a lot of my launch, how should i fix this? bounce it? blip the throttle before i clutch it? or just make it stiffer? sorry if this has been talked about, i tried searching.

Re: suspension and wheelies

i like my back suspension soft, i have a cbr 600fs and i have tried all settings for my original back suspension and for me best was spring preload totally soft and damping medium. But I suggest that you try all settings yourself, other bikes, other likings ?
suspension hard meant for me jumpy response to back brake.
And with my suspension soft i can clutch it straight up from stoppie, no problem.
