Re: Mastering The Back Brake(Foot Brake)

if you have no footbrake control whatsoever i suggest getting a 50 or a quad or something like that to get used to it... Saves ur bike and trips to the ER

Re: Mastering The Back Brake(Foot Brake)

+1 on the quad & 50. what helped me too when I first started was covering the back brake while just riding in 1st and blipping 1ft wheelies...lol I'd go up and down the lot doing 1ft clutchups and tapping the brake. after a while you'll be doing 2ft etc. you get the picture. when you start getting the hang of the rear brake start riding out 2nd gear and start bringing the front back more to slow it down using the brake. but if you can get your hands on a quad that'll help out some. it's all about building your confidence and practice any chance you get

Re: Mastering The Back Brake(Foot Brake)

*** drags taught me the rear brake in a safe manner and I know 90% of the people in the BX roll around w their one foot on the ground. Okay maybe not 90% but a big percentage

Re: Mastering The Back Brake(Foot Brake)

letn your feet hang off the bike on the ground so if you start to lose it you can catch it.

Re: Mastering The Back Brake(Foot Brake)

Just practice that's about it.. riding a 50 helps because its the same concept just on a small bike.

Re: Mastering The Back Brake(Foot Brake)

Not really the best way but I learned by taking my bike almost to balance point then murdering it while on the throttle to slow down while on the throttle then got it back to balance point and started catching it with the rb.
