I just got an 07 cbr 6rr and the tank is plastic I have seen a couple bikes with dents in the tank but I'm not sure how they did it, technically it wouldnt be a dent??? Any advice is much appreciated.

Remove the tank cover and dent the metal section of the tank.. re-install the tank cover and use a heat gun and something smooth and curved..

+1

the tank isn't plastic, thats just a cover...you can melt down the plastic and reshape it after you dent the tank

Hahahaha look. You have to pull the cover, dent the metal tank underneath. Dent it larger than what you want. Next take the cover and heat it up from UNDERNEATH with a torch or heatgun. You have to use oven mitts to move it as you ALMOST have to get the cover to a liquid melt. Move the cover QUICKLY to the tank and press it into the dent using the mitts and or towells. Act quickly as it will cool way fast. You will probably have to do this a few times as it cools so quickly.
