Hey all, figure out my problem!

So here's the deal; I have read all the stickies, and asked friends who stunt... but I can't bring up the wheel for the life of me! I've got an all stock '02 F4i. I've manages to power one up about 6 inches, but that's it. I'm almost positive I'm doing everything correct, and I know my bike is running great.... what could it be?

Are you using the clutch?

Re: Hey all, figure out my problem!

I know clutching would bring it up,, but I'm scared shitless of it, lol. I've gotten it a couple inches up with clutch, but it jerks up quick and my instincts close the throttle. I'm worried about looping it, so I've been trying to get better at power wheelies. Should I say **** it and just start low-speed clutch-wheelies?

Re: Hey all, figure out my problem!

Yeah so now I have a new problem. I can clutch it when I'm sitting down with my left foot on the back peg, but I can't seem to force myself to stand up when it comes up. I feel like the bike is going to fly out from under me, and when I do stand up I give it too much throttle. Ugh! Advice? Has anybody had this problem?

Re: Hey all, figure out my problem!

Fear is your problem, put your right knee in the seat, and left leg on the back peg. Then practice getting it up in 1st just a little higher each time. This position allows you to lean forward if you feel your gonna go over backward. You gotta lean back. Or just crash your **** and then you wont care about the bike anymore, thats how the rest of us learned how to ride, by not caring.

Re: Hey all, figure out my problem!

Oh I forgot to mention you HAVE to clutch it up, thats the only way to control a wheelie if you wanna get to balance point

Doesn't matter if I say it to a bunch of guys unless they are a bunch of homos. Are YOU a homo? Because I'm sure as hell not a woman!
