I haven't bought a bike yet, nor have I ridden a street bike but I was wondering if someone could help me out. I plan to learn how to wheelie but I was worried was wondering how you prevent your hand from slipping on the throttle and revving the engine and going out of control when you come down from a wheelie? It would seem like if you came down hard and you were gripping the handle bars hard you could potentially by mistake your hand could slip and you could just rev the engine as soon as you come down and spin out of control. Is this even something to be worried about or does it just not happen? Is the throttle handle more difficult to turn than I think? Do you hold the clutch when you land to prevent you from revving when you land? It would seem like if you had some fingers on the clutch it would give you less control. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

It mostly happens when people get ahead of themselves and try things beyond their skill level

 

that happens to alot of new riders..and usally people freeze up and go for a ride..just have to remember to postion wrist right when landing..i try to gas before tire touch ground to stop hard landingjust one of many lessons to learn

if you come down hard enough for that to happen there is really no way to prevent it...
