Re: 12bar or round bar???
dam!! lol good bump on a old thread. thats what i always had pictured in my head that would happen with out a bar. i would rather learn now with a bar for sure then with out one. i put a round bar on at the start of the season and have not looked back since..
Re: 12bar or round bar???
It would of helped, lol when i hit the tail just crumbled really, i when backward at about 7-8 grand in fourth with stock gearing (ya not smart i know) but after bp i was still at 7-8 grand so it slingshoted me on my tail and i totally lost control, i hit the back break but by that time my bike was already sidewayz and sliding.

If your going to 'lose control' and loop backwords, I'd MUCH rather loop to a oem tail then loop to a solid steel bar

Re: 12bar or round bar???
but once again, ROUND BARS ARE NOT FOR ANY TYPE OF PROTECTION! They are for 'stunts'. They also protect your tail/exhaust against damage while controlling scrapes, but are certainly not designed to protect your bike if you fail..
On your bike, you'll be perfectly fine learning to scrape simply by hitting your exhaust

Re: 12bar or round bar???
but who wants to go out and buy a new tail evey time not me. **** cost to much money. i would rather bash a bar up and risk subframe damage then buy a new tail eveytime.
