Re: Help drifting

Lock back tire and slide it in. Rev it and release the clutch. Stay in the gas!!! Cover the clutch

Re: Help drifting

If you can lock up the rear tire and skid... just do that and then rev the bike a little, diump the clutch and gas through the slide.

Putting your foot down and using the front brake are both cheating.

but help in LEARNING... you dont have to be a drift pimp from the gate... learn with your foot down... eventually you will learn the lean angles and amount of throttle.. then you'll be able to rip them feet up...

Re: Help drifting

better to lowside and slide out then highside.

when in doubt stay on the gas. when you chop the gas and the tire hooks is when you highside and when it hurts lol

Re: Help drifting

everyone has pretty much covered it ....from some drift pimps as well...if you want to see an example of not staying on the gas, watch the new ac 4 promo that was posted up and that will give you a show of what happends in a high side

Definitely see what you're saying... just don't like to learn bad habits.

Awesome song and props on the drifting. Going to the right like a champ... are you left handed?

Also the can can far side stuff was cool, and haven't seen the RL drifting on the front pegs much either.... and good to see people working on figure 8's too.

neither do i.. but i tried to learn to drift both feet up... ate **** a lot, almost gave up, tried left foot down to learn the angles and throttle, within the SAME night i was rocking them feet up... as long as you are disciplined enough to unlearn the bad, it helps a LOT in learning.

it's like teaching someone to roll on idle... lower their tire psi to about 10, they only have to worry about brake and throttle, not side to side, and therefore can learn to catch idle very quickly, in a couple hours compared to a couple weeks... then they have to start airing up right away to unlearn the bad habit (low psi)...
