Re: big man help???

try clutching them up with holding on to your bike with your feet holding on to the cage. when you get them up just let go of the cage. i have slipped out before but always on the clutch up

Re: big man help???

try putting the small of your back into the dent more and less of your ***... roll your hips forward and try to clutch it up fast so you dont slid backwards. the small of your back is smaller than your *** (presumably) so that should help with sliding out of the dent and it also puts the weight on your hips rather than on your arms to hold yourself up.

are your clips inverted or standard??

clip are flipped 2x if that makes sense ,,they are angled upward...if thats what yer asking...

i tried that and i still cant do it..its really pissin me off..
like i said im not flexible at all..(plus i broke my hip in high school..) which im starting to feel has a big part of it.....
idk
my *** maybe too big or something cause no matter how i sit i fell like im on the edge of the dent...

i used to have the same problem when trying them first...strech your arms, sit on your tailbone, and just hold on...

+1,mabey try to jump to it instead of clutching it. also it might be your tank dent, notice how the back of the tank sits lower than the middle of the tank

nice bike BTW

Re: big man help???

u dont gotta be flexible for spreaders, heel clickers yah but basic spreaders nah. like ***** said its easier to clutch up with your feet on the cage, i usually do that and then pull my legs up and out. and also what the other guy said, roll back to your upper *** area, dont lean forward, it sorta feels like ur doing a situp/crunch or trying to suck your own dick. dont act like you guys never tried it . also, try highchairs too, theyre actually easier and will give you a bit of a better feel for em, and doing them in 1st gear is harder than 2nd gear imo cuz 2nd gear will come up less abruptly so maybe try doing em on the street if your not already.

Re: big man help???

i had the same probelm... im 6'4", i changed the orientation of my dent, made a lil difference, then flipped my stock clip ons... made more of a difference, added grip tape... and now my *** doesnt go anywhere! but ive gone through 3 pairs of Carhart jeans. i know for a fact dirt bars will help ur lanky *** with positioning (cause i know my knees still hit my bars), but ur dent job looks like a big factor. i tried to get my back end of my dent to be higher then the front since our legs our longer then most riders whole bodies. **** it just throw some grip tape on it and be done with it, that ***** like glue

u guys really need to stop with the "im big i have a disadvantage" nonsense. im 5'6 and when i started learning jump to spreader me knees hit my bars too, i didnt need dirt bars, i needed to adjust my technique. joe wade randy and brian from section 518 are all well over 6ft and big *** dudes of much over 200lbs with FI clip ons and I think wade has vortex, and none of them have any issues with spreaders, **** they got some of the nastiest looking spreaders ever. you do not have it worst cuz youre big, if anything its easier because your weight matches up with your bike better. not that im complaining but try weighing 155lbs dealing with 450lbs.

ps. grip tape is the worst idea ever, stomp grip, tech spec, surf grip and theres some **** called safety walk which is like a rubberized grip tape all work wonders for grip without ripping jeans.

for real man i dont think theres anything wrong with ur tank, i see lots of ppls with the same dent. u just gotta keep working at it and make sure your weight is in your *** not being pressed into your thighs around the lip of the dent cuz that lefts your *** out of the dent and the grippy part and allows you to slide.
