whats the worst that could happen..
Re: whats the worst that could happen..
You obviouslly won't be able to roll anything on the front, but other than that.....nothing. It'll just feel like you're riding a pogo stick. Honestly, they are quite easy to change.....couple hour job, tops.
Re: whats the worst that could happen..
I just used my service manual, not sure about a thread. If you get your hands on a manual, it'll be step by step. If you plan on stuntin that bike for any length of time, a manual would be a good investment...02 cents.
Re: whats the worst that could happen..
Keep checking your front brakes and tire to make sure there's no oil dripping onto them. Wouldn't want to come down from a wheelie then when you try to stop your tire locks up or your brakes don't work at all.
Re: whats the worst that could happen..
running your forks with no oil will ruin your forks , there are bushings inside the forks that the chrome tube slide up and down in and with no lubrication the bushings will get worn very quickly ..
there is also a chance that the smooth finish on the chrome tube will be damaged meaning they will not seal even with new seals...

Re: whats the worst that could happen..
but how often did you tip your forks upside down on your dirt bike ?
a nice slow wheelie lets alot of fluid flow to the top of the fork and then when you put it down , well you get what im saying ..lol

Re: whats the worst that could happen..
Ha ha.....my TTR spends 99.8% of the time at or passed BP, so I'ld have to say VERY often. I throw it back passed BP from the top of 1st, and slow it down to almost a stall atleast 10 or 15 times every ride, along w/ lots of slow, barely above idle stuff. You are correct, though, Rog........ultimately.....riding w/ blown seals will cause more wear and tear.........just maybe not as much as one may think...lol.

yer gonna get grooves in your forks from little rocks and **** sticking to the fluid and your brake pads wont work as well after a while....just tie rags around them and call it good
Re: whats the worst that could happen..
I have a 06 600rr and I brought them in yesterday. I did a show on monday and flouit was everywhere. I even tied a rag on it. the inverted forks just let gravity do the work.
