F4I fork oil

Hello!

As everybody knows the f4i fork oil sucks, and people also dont like the f4i fork at all.
Anyway now it's impossible and i really mean impossible to go to endo on my f4i.
i do over 50metres stoppies with a friends r6 without problem.
Well, now to the question.
people say that it might help if i put a new tire and 15weight oil in the fork.
im going to put on my new pilot power tire after im done writing this, the old tire is an original hard oooooooold tire.
also im going to change the oil when i changing the tire.
the shop im working on only got 30weight and 10weight in stock.
can i put 30wight or should i go and buy a 15weight oil.
i mean if i get the things from here i get it for free :YEAH

Re: F4I fork oil

you shouldn't change the weight of your oil unless you know what your doing..

The f4i front end, with a few changes to match your weight and riding style, is perfectly fine for rolling 300foot ++

Just changing oil weight without taking into consideration compression, damping, and reload, will probably just make your front end worse..

Hmm..
What do you mean with a few changes then?
the only thing people told me and discussion i have seen is that it will get better with an 15w fork oil and a new tire.
ofcourse i know how to do it i work with honda motorbikes but hmm explain more about what you mean about a few changes.

+1

+1

and +1

I was rolling just as long last year on the stock f4i front as I am now w/ a 1000rr setup. (although I never do high speed stoppie attempts, 45-55mph approach at most).

It's not the bike... it's the rider.

Crank the pre-load to show only 1 or 2 lines... turn the comp damping to full hard, then out about a half a turn... same for rebound, full hard, then out a 1/4 to 1/2 a turn.

Also tighten up your rear suspension.... sounds funny but really makes a difference.
