idle for stand up no handers

What's everyone running? I have mine set around 3.5k and it seems that I get the bike goin so slow (riding idle) that when I take my hands off the bars all it wants to do is circle

need more idle or just more practice?

this is the key after you do it a while you can actually stear the bike a little some old pics for ya, as far as idle i like mine high when i'm doin them (About 3,5) cuz then it you do brake to much it will still come back up a lot of times...... to correct the turning try different foot positions is what fixed it for me..... and don't think if its going right you have to move your back foot more left everytime cuz it wasn't the case for me, it would actually make it worse..... so just move it around and find where it works for ya!!!!!!!!!1

is see in your avitar you can do one handers a good way to progress is next do no throttle..... then grab your upper with your throttle hand and try that for a bit then once you got that stable take your hand off the upper and the clip on!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I just got the no throttle hand down a few days ago so I'm like **** it, and tried the no handers and can do it for maybe 2 seconds then I grab the bars again

Leaning to the left I think is going to help me a lot.

Re: idle for stand up no handers

I run about 3.5k idle also with 60t sprocket

I didn't go for no throttle hands or anything, I just spent about 30 minutes getting comfortable with foot in the seat, then I just got some ***** and got smooth on the throttle, and started letting go lol

At first I was doing 2 foot nohadners, then 5 foot, then 10 foot, then I started hitting 30 foot

Now my best is about 100 foot, but I only have about 2 days in the lot trying that so far :YEAH

Also when I FIRST did them, I put my knee against the seat to hang on more, helped keep the bike going straight

Also my main problem, is slowing them down too much I always come back to far and come to nearly a complete stop and gotta grab for the clutch

Re: idle for stand up no handers

I've tried them at high and low RPM's and I personally like higher RPM's b/c I keep my back tire pressure around 28-30ish and when I go slow it dips. I can't get very far with no hand, only about 20', maybe less but it feels more comfortable with a higher RPM.

you idle is too high, then you kill it with the brake...

I almost feel like I need more idle for no handers

Soon as I let go, I usually let it dip too far back, and start slowing down like crazy and almost stall it out lol

Sometimes though I can manage to not dip to far back, and keep em going at speed
