i dont know what year r6's came with inverted forks... will the inverted forks fit an 02 r6?

 

05 up was inverted....
Not sure.. never tryed putting a 03-05 tripple on a 02 r6... Have to do some measuring to see..

 

should fit, with the upper n lower from the inverted fork setup, but **** you wunt my opinion leave the stock forks on it, i learned to stunt on a 02 R6 and rocked it for 2 years and never had a problem with the stock forks and the dude i bought it from bought and stunts a 05 R6 and the bike forks and all are junk

 

its for my buddy he blew out his fork seals so he wants to upgrade... he was originally lookin at ohlins but i figured itd be a cheaper route putting something newer on. thanks for the info

 

yea, the R1 front end of any year, and the 05 r6 front end should do fine...'

for learning sure the stock 02s would be fine, but me and many others would greatly dissagree with the last part of this post. the 05 R6 with the inverted forks are badass, i never had a problem with my 05 forks or anything with the bike for that matter, learning to stunt and all. the bike has over 20K miles on it now and runs like a top, better than most brand new bikes out there.
