so im looking to get a new camera for filming. what is the hot **** right now?
im looking to go hard drive and preferably high def. dont really want to spend over 1G but i dont know if thats possible. whats everyone got?

I just got a canon HV20 its HD it was around $1100 wit tax. Im in the process of editing. the quality is def the best out rite now for the price!

I wouldn't get a hard drive camera, get the HV 20 it's pretty good.

if your not rockin a hard drive cam. then what is the advantages of that camera? just curious I just thought a hard drive was the way to go
guess i have a lot of reading up to do

If that hard drive breaks/malfunctions you have a problem. Basically what I'm trying to say is a hard drive is one more thing that can break. I assume you are going to want to use it for stunt stuff and cameras get trashed quick in that line of work. Plus if you shoot with tape it will be much easier to archive footage.
