Acerbis light hookup help

well i had my acerbis diamond headlight wired on and working fine and i was tryin to find the wire that runs to just the highbeam lights so when i stunt in the lot i can turn the lights off but no matter what wire i put my test light on if it lights up on highbeam it lights up on low as well. anyone know where the hell that damn highbeam wire is and where to tap into it?

i took off the switch assebly and mount the wires that run to the light rocker but neither of them make the test light light up, i'm lost.

Re: Acerbis light hookup help

Use a multimeter to check which wire is hot with only the high beam on

Theres what

3 wires going to each light from the factory? Regular old 3 prong harness?

So its 1 ground, 1 high beam 12v+, and 1 low beam 12v+...

If you have a multimeter, check which one shows +12v with the high beam on, and doesn't show 12v with it off..

If you don't have a DMM, just hook the light up to 2 of the wires, and switch the wires around tell it works...

It can't be THAT hard! lol

edit: and just splice it where your factory lights hook up.. Way easier then trying to find some random place on the harness to splice it in..

There could only possibly be 3 wires per headlight
