Safe way to learn and feel the sensation of BP is borrow or buy a 50 and practice wheelies for couple weeks. Once you get the concept down you can search for that same feeling on the big bike. If you dont have proper brake control and you try to find bp, your chances of crashing are good.
Another key to look for, when your at bp (below 50 miles/hr) your forks are basically parallel with the ground.
