I need some help with denting the tank on an o3 rr... I just recently crossed over from a gsxr and tank denting on that was easy.....i heard that u have to heat up the plastic and slowly push it down.....any tips would help!!!THANKS!!!

 

If you look in the stunt section on 600rr.net there is a big write up on this with pics and everything. Basically it involves taking the tank cover off, denting the metal tank, then taking a heat gun to the tank cover and forming it to the dented metal tank. Does not look too bad, but I have not done it just yet on mine.

what year rr did u get? and i can't wait to put the omr subcage on,because i am a big dude and it feel like i am sitting on the bitch seat when i stagger step........i am also looking to cut a hole in the seat but the undertail pipe gives my size 11 no room for error.

 

Mine is a 03. I thought about the seat hole thing too, in the same position you are though...size 12 shoe, lol. The omr sub cage does help! It makes the bike feel less cramped when doing staggered. Still waiting on a cage to really start playing on it though.

 

right now the 03 i s minty!!!!!wil start stripping her down and start putting on somegoodies.....yes i will be getting omr subcage,round bar,handbrake, sprocket kit from brad over at steel geared. and clip ons and cage...pretty much want everything brand new,but if u guys have some decent **** i can take off ur hands please let me know.....as soon as this ****** cold as weather leaves im stuck snowboarding,well not stuck on a bad sense,bbut a sense that i can't ride

Just waiting for some cash to come in right now to be able to buy the tygershark stunt cage and the Hohey dual caliper bracket...got a radial master, another caliper and trying to figure out the headlight wiring the previous owner did....just did the idle adjuster mod last night...pain, let me tell you, lol.
