Some basic Questions

Whats up everyone, Im new to stunting (yes a squid) and i need some basic help, so here gos my story. I ride a '99 f4, I've been practicing wheelies, and I can now do them consistently on my TTr90 (along with o's with a foot down), but i have a hard time trying to commit on my street bike,...i know you cant help me here but...

#1: My main problem is i just can't hold them up steady but i can hold it to redline(still chasin), i can get them up almost every time, still not to balance point yet but i'm working on it. Any suggestions?

#2: I was out riding today, and i kept slipping my clutch, and my rear tire just started spinning, i'm running about 25-27 psi in the rear, will taking it down a bunch help, and would an adjustments to the rear suspension help me out?

#3: When i slip the clutch, i don't really know when to do so to get just under balance point, I mostly just kinda try and hear the engine, but it doesn't work out the greatest and its always just random, sometimes i get it up good others not so much. Ive been slipping it around 5g i believe...should i go ***** to the wall? or just keep chasing till i get the bp?

#4: I know its not the right forum, but i am in lack of people to ride with I live in Frederick, MD, whether they just wanna cruise or stunt it would be fun if i had someone except my lame bro to ride with.

Ok Now i know this entire writeup was epic, and none of you probably like me at all because i should be out practicing it would be awesome if you guys could just let me know some of tips and tricks. Thanks Everyone.

Re: Some basic Questions

to stop the spinning let more air out and lean back you gotta have some weight on the rear tire for it to hook up

Re: Some basic Questions

might also be spinning cuz of too high rpm's. i used to have the prob. 5k rpm sounds reasonable depending on ur gearing, though. try giving it a little more rpm or work on ur timing with slipping the clutch. dont need to adjust anything on ur suspension. as far as redlining and not finding bp, ur just gonna have to practice that. i wouldnt recommend chasing till u find bp. try to learn how to just get up there or close to; this is gonna take a ton of practice. are u kicking them up at slow speeds like 10 mph? if not then try that. good luck, dude.

Yea, Slow all the way, I'm not trying to loop it at a high speed and f myself up. My gearing is stock, hoping to be -1,+2 or 3 soon but depends on money. Thanks again.

Re: Some basic Questions

Just do short wheelies.. I had a small spot to learn. just popped it up and rode it out a little.. probly to about 7grand in 1st.I just kept practicing the clutch up . Not so much the wheelie. the clutch up is the most important to riding a slow wheelie to me. if your going 20 before you hit BP you need to practice more.. id rather loop at 10 mph than 34 ya know. just turn your idle up to about 4grand. and use that brake. Good luck. and slip your clutch out slower to stop the sliding. slip it slow dont just drop it.
