1998 900rr does it starve for oil

I have a chance to upgrade from my clapped out f4 to a 1998 900rr !! I rode many freeway wheelies with the f4 and am wondering if the 900rr will take the same abuse!!! thanx

the f4 is a better stunt bike .....

but a little extra oil and the 900 will be fine

Re: 1998 900rr does it starve for oil

What makes f4 better , lighter or something!!! Does the 900 have the same type balance point (real easy to find , and really forgiving))???? Should I be running more oil in f4?? Thanx

Re: 1998 900rr does it starve for oil

yep the f4 likes a little extra oil too just not as much as the 900 i would only fill th f4 with about 1/4 of a quart over the full line

Re: 1998 900rr does it starve for oil

I see that would be a problem for me as I would most likely be using the cages , especially switching from 600 to 900 cc machine!! Should I just keep the f4 , it runs fine just broke up bodywork ,tweaked forks!! How about dirtbike bars ,do you guys like them??? The 900 has them partially installed, needs longer cables and brake line to complete!!!thanx for help

As For the cages I have a FI , They Just dont make SUBcages.. (YET!! )
I am just switchin over to DB bars and Cant wait...
THe 900 Is a Strong machine and can take the abuse!!!

I for one like the power when I need it,the F4's feel small to me..

Re: 1998 900rr does it starve for oil

Wheelie, i am a 6-2 200 lb guy and can feel a little cramped on f4 , maybe the 900 would be a good change for me!! I notice in the lots my wrists hurt bad when I have a couple hard landings , possible dirtbike bars could fix this!!! You think??? I am probably to big for f4, I never really thought about that part!!!thanx

Re: 1998 900rr does it starve for oil

dirt bars are higher and the good ones flex so that will help your wrist but if your forks don't dampen correctly due to lack of fluid or improper settings then that can hurt your wrist also
